David Street Station

Tallgrass has been lucky to work on David Street Station – a new events driven plaza in downtown Casper beginning construction in the fall of 2016.Thanks to our friends at Stateline No. 7 Architects, we have been involved in the visioning and planning of this project with the Downtown Development Authority of Casper and Dan Senftner – the Director of Main Street Square in Rapid City.  The design team included WLC Engineering, EDA, Lower & Co, VBFA (Ice Rink), Water Design, and Haggerty’s.  David Street Station will have a great outdoor concert venue, an outdoor event plaza, a fun splash pad, illuminated promenades, fire pits, great seating, evolving art work, a second level outdoor deck, and be a center for the cultural life of Casper in the downtown area.

Design Development:  It’s fun do see some of the options we developed on the way to the final plan.  Based upon the public input, we developed three plans with three stylistic and spatial explorations to vet the various concepts and ideas for the site.

Final Design: Multiple visualizations were developed for fundraising and sharing the vision for the site.

Final Design:  Plan views.
